Ive just had to pay £120 to get phone workin(yup, i got skanked cos they had to send an engineer down, who simply fitted an 'extra' socket that doesnt even work!) £175 for visa machine, £150 odd quid on a helium bottle, it goes on forever! Its the little things that add up. Ive just got my small business rate relief, well worth looking into. x

Newbies two penneth

Couple of years back i considered selling my shop premises and moving the whole kabooodalh to rented shop..My solicitor laughed and laughed when i presented her with my idea, she frightened the pants off 'a' me with tales of landlord leaseholder stories. Her last words were "im not going to charge you for my advice today, but if you proceed and come back with this idea again,i'll know that i can cane your arse for a whole heap of cash..cause you is stoooopid".....point taken i said (i obviously was'nt that stooopid).
So if my solicitor gotten across to me so succinctly how scary signing a lease can be,hope you take gooood advice first too.

Hey it aint never been easy owning my premises,i still gotta pay back a hefty sum each month, but apparently its less scary than a lease, but carrys on for a whole lot longer.
As for the git next door you gotta tell him we all gotta trade on this row of shops, and as im here i want to use my frontage for my stock.
Best of luck with the git i hope he's not your monosylabic type or your up against it!!

The twat is a bit dim me thinks, gunna get a nice big trelace to put up tomorrow i hope, or just a BIG FAT WHITE PAINTED LINE. Wouldnt mind but the owner of next door lives above my shop, although he doesnt own the building, we share the same yard so i get to see his skanky old man grotty 'Y' fronts. Needless to say, ive only been out there once! Also gunna get my paving sorted out and put a bollard up so the other twat a few doors down stops driving over my pavers. I have such lovely neighbours eh!

For what im paying for my lease, i could pay mortgage. Sucks a bit but in a few years time when im on my feet, i'll buy a nice place.
