My main supplier is clog nurseries in warrington, apart from my dutch van, they are both very good. Clogs deliver all over and they never let me down. To be fair though 90p on mothers day week for pre ordered roses is not bad. (as long as they were a good length)
I always cost roses etc in at the expensive end for my wedding quotes, as they are usually cost more when you pre-order them, which i do for my weddings so i never have any head aches to deal with.
I know some people whinge and think suppliers rip them off for pre-ordered stuff,( a florist i know never orders if he can help it, he must have brides that aren't fussy about their roses) but if you want something in particular at an auction to have to pay the required price to get it

It shouldnt always be the case that you pay more for pre-ordered stuff, But it can work out that way alot of times.

You all know how the dutch auction clock works right? First one who presses the button buys for that price, and it goes down the longer you wait.

Well Sosas calls me and says I need 40 stems of 80cm Dolce Vita large headed roses for Friday next week please.

So the buyer is at the clock on Thursday morning and sees only 1 trolly available, which has 20 buckets on it, He needs 1 bucket so will need to press the button first as whoever presses first can buy the minimum amount of 2 buckets (4 bunches in each bucket (80 stems).

He thinks well I need this for Sosas so will pay alittle more than yesterdays price to make sure I get them.

Thats maybe why you would pay alittle extra than normal.

The guy who presses second has to buy 4 buckets so can probably get them for less and so on.

I think I would end up with no flowers if i had to press the button, i'd be like.......err..............doh...I've missed it

and i suspect it's also true that the guy who presses the button first can also buy them all, leaving none for anyone else.

eek... i'd definately get no flowers..i'll stick to making them

Think I would to sosas probably hit the button just a second to late and miss the blxxdy lot
