What sort of prices you been paying today?

Prices have come down alot today, if you want to know the buying price on the clock I might be able to tell you

It's a bit like buying shares isn't it. You never know if it's going to go up or down and just try and rely on gut feeling. Does make you feel a bit sick when you realize you could have bought a bit fresher and saved a few quid as well. But then you have the lead time factor and you just can't leave everything till the last minute. Even trying to 'half do' stuff and fill in later becomes a pain and eats into your time. Over the years you see it go both ways, sometimes you win sometimes you lose.

Got blush and mango calla lilies today for 2 weddings we have Sat and Mon couldn't believe they both came in at £1.25 last week for wedding they were £2.95 had priced wedding to reflect higher cost so will have to do my sums again

Reminds me of a few years back when i had an order to 'supply only' flowers for a large wedding. Included was 50 white cala and it was around September. When they arrived at about £3.50 each wholesale it was quite a shock. I hadn't quoted as I won't give fixed prices for things like that. A week later the price was down below £2. Trouble is people can think you are having them over and don't understand the 'auction' price system.

now what you mean and I always give an approx price and price on high side troouble is I have quoted both brides to high but as balance due is £130 and the other £135 I will take £100 of each at least the extra quoted for any other which we didn't make a lot and no I don't feel guilty because both brides wanted them at any cost
