i done a 15in heart in cars and it took roughly 100, hope this helps, i would reckon bout 30-40 per letter

No bloody white ones, and Wholesaler only has enough to do 4 letters has more red than anything

The problem is up here we have so few Wholesalers, and funderals we only get 3 days notice which is quite a problem especially when they want something like that, if it was MD I suppose it would not have been a prob.
I will have to tell customer she will have to have Chrysanths, as no one has enough carnations.

Could you do a foliage or gyp edge instead of ribbon to make the cars go further?

double ribbon edge it right up the the surface and your cars will go a lot further and fluff them open as much as poss.

Thanks for responses. I do not use ribbon edging its so 50's ( thats my opinion only). The customer does not want any edging of any sort just carnations on the letters PAPA I have several other cushions and wreaths to make but have advised customer cannot get carnations (white) for these, they seem happy enough to be done in Chrys (thank goodness) Thanks again
