But at least it was at a time before she would have been busy jo... It's not as though the complaint is that she was late with the delivery... it was because she was early!

I stand by what I said- never give a time to customers at peak times!.
What if the van didn't start or he took ages to find a house or got stuck behind an accident that had happened.
I won't take times because it adds stress and pressure onto my drivers job, they need to be driving safely not speeding everywhere trying to get to a house by exactly 11.06am!
All my customers were told delivery was between 9am and 5pm, we put stickers on their receipts and told all phone orders (THANKS LEXY FOR THE TIP BTW!!) we had no phone calls asking "wheres my flowers" this year, it was bloody lovely!

he left his mobile number incase o/h could not find him, he has only moved into this area from Dorset a few weeks ago. As luck would have it we got another 3 orders from same area one a bit further on, so in his wisdom o/h says I will set off at 6.45am so I get deliveries done before hosp. He gets to this bloke at 7.10am house in darkness, he then asks directions from farm house nearby, and when he gets to bloke who has his Hugh Hefner dressing gown. (yuk) who was not happy, he said we asked for 8.30 delivery (does he think he arranged appointment with docs-who keeps you waiting up to 30 mins)O/H phoned me and said the bloke had given wrong mobile number as he had tried to tel for directions. Anyway the said bloke rung up today to complain..I need this as I am knackered from yesterday not much sleep, he is only looking for compensation (haha) I said you have no chance, I delivered in the morning, just that it was early, I told him my o/h had rung him and got a wrong number. He did not want to listen kept talking over me. He said I will come in next week to see you (how nice). When o/h comes in today I checked the phone and he had dialled the wrong mobile number what a plonker, makes me look a prize idiot. What would you do, give him a £5.00 compensation bq as o/h was in the wrong. I mean it was one of the busiest days of the year. sorry its so long I needed to moan about it before I kick my o/h
sum people always want sumthing 4 nthing, tell him u delivered went out your way no bloody compensation. u shud talk 2 funky shes brill at dealing with dickheads

Im not disputing that. I never give times for deliveries at anytime of the year as I work alone and can't always manage out the shop.

Well I fell up someone's stairs complete with flowers in hand, sprawled across the front door. Sore leg, felt such an idiot.

Managed to save the flowers though
