Well, Thank God its all over !! Had a really good Val Day, but ache all over.
Hired a unit in a nearby trading estate this year and transported all deliverys over there. Hired 3 vans, had 5 vehicles out all day, still not enough !! finished delivering 6pm.... too late, must get more vans next year !! Started work at 7am on the 13th, went home 3am on the 14th and back in at 7am. didnt bother goin to bed , wasnt worth it !!Felt like i was gonna die when i went back in !! Eight staff all looking the same as me , knackered. Had a really good one though, sold 2,500 red roses plus 500coloured ones .What i hate is , we never gaurantee timed deliveries at busy times, but come 12noon the phone didnt stop.... " wheres my flowers, im in trouble , the wife thinks ive forgot, they aint been delivered yet". I feel like saying " *#@?# off they are on their way sir !!!" But of course i dont, i say the appropriate thing and he goes off happy to await his delivery... Every Valentines Day i wish i wasnt a florist, but the following day im back to loving it again !!

Very similar story here,but how come after all the good customers,from the ones that spent a fortune down to the little old guy who spent next to nothing,do i only really remember the awkward tight fisted gits(they really weasel under my skin)you know the type,his opening gambit is usually along the lines of "how much are you gonna rip me off this year?"or "better get her summat to keep "her" sweet...these people are the "tyre kickers" of the floral world..or and this guy didnt even buy anything he just came in to ask the price of everything...THEN DROPPED THE CONTENTS OF HIS ARSE,(a proper loud pphhhrrrapp) IN MY SHOP AND LEFT,the shop stank.
