Exclamation prices are falling.
Just to give everybody a bit of inside info, prices here in Holland are beginning to dip due to Dutch production increasing, and import from the rest of the world being very high at the moment.

Dutch roses are at their best at the moment, and very cheap, and new varieties coming through every week.

When I get some pikkies, i'll post them.

Hi Gringo

I have noticed the same thing, I am working in Aalsmeer, at the flower auctions, since Mothers Day in England prices have dropped alot.

Hi Aspirin.

What do you do in aalsmeer. Are you in sales like myself or are you IT based ?

Prices falling are normal for the time of year. Dutch production on the rise, import flowers a bit too abundant, and trade dropping off a little because everybody gets out in the gardens.

same every year.

I am actually working for an flower exporter in Aalsmeer in sales, havent been in the business that long, but its fun.

Are you in Aalsmeer also?

I did 7 years in Westland, 3 years in Aalsmeer, and now just about to go into my 9th year in Rijnsburg.

Which one ?

Do van Delft deliver direct to florists in the UK?

Im working at van der Boon, been there nearly a year.

Also seems prices are rising again for Easter.

We prefer the wholesale side, I only really get involved with larger florists. we ship to UK, germany, France, Italy, Denmark, Italy, USA & Norway.

Things are on the move because there is still quite a bit of demand coming from the Catholic countries around europe.

Easter is nothing like it used to be. Still sell a few more longi's & calla's than normal, but most people go away in the Uk nowadays, so all the florists & wholesalers are more interested in clearing out before the bank holiday weekend.

hi following on from easter thread i work in the uk in a large florist normally very busy easter arrives and we've been dead barely a customer in sight only really cut flower sales by the end of the week never mind. happens every year we do have a couple of weddings to keep us busy though so cant really complain.

It seems that everybody was quite quiet last weekend. I think that nowadays most people go away for the weekend at easter, or spend it out and about with the family.
