On The Flower Trail
TV programme on the Business Channel (Sky channel 547). This film examines the booming worldwide trade in flowers and takes a look at the workings of the Aalsmeer flower trading centre in Holland, also how Rose plants are started in Germany then sent to Kenya to be grown on.
March 3rd - 8:00pm and 11:00pm
March 4th - 10:00am and 2:00pm
March 12th - 8:00pm and 11:00pm
March 13th - 6:00am , 10:00am and 2:00pm

Another programme:
Tulipmania

Synopsis
Tulips first appeared in 17th century Europe as a luxury item imported from
Turkey. This film examines the frenzy triggered when a market in tulip
futures opened on the Amsterdam stock exchange.
