Mother's Day Cock-ups and funny stories!
I did this thread on Valentines day, and im not sure about the rest of you, but i really enjoyed the stories everyone had....
No cockups so far, other than underordering on flowers but had a fair few people in wanting a '£10 posy arr in oasis' or '£10 Basket arr' Not gunna happen! Does anyone on this earth charge such small prices anymore? £15 fair enough, few buds that i pulled off, snapped stems etc, but a tenner?! Haha! Good luck everyone x |

Not strictly a mothers day story, but we did a deliver it this weekend. We sent a big bunch of balloons to man yesterday and he came to the door, we assume naked, he opened the door a little and peeked round the door and then stuck his hand out to get the balloons, which he struglled to pull inside through the gap in his doorway... the driver thought it was best not to demand a signature off him

staff problems
oh my god what a weekend!!! Still made lots and managed to smile through it and only growled at a couple of last minute males expecting a full range of designs available for them only (and we all had to guide them and stand with them whilst they made their decision). Anyway, although i smiled my staff did not, i have a lady who works for me, my aunty, i know your not supposed to employ family but i was really stuck one time and so on and so on. anyway, gob on a stick was not in it, hated when i told her she wanted to change anything cause it looked crap (did not tell her it looked crap and was very sensitive), nearly stormed off etc etc - i am sure you know the type.. But, i really need someone elso as well who i can leave when i need a bit of time off who can manage pressuire but worry about taking someone on and then being unable to afford them during the winter months. Has anyone else overcome this problem. I do often get letters from college but i think someone with experience would be better - any advice anyone!!!

I know exactly what you mean, i need someone to help out too, but who's flexible. I had my parents helping me out (yes, its hard working and living with them and we have had plenty of bust ups!) Hope they'll dissapear when im stable enough to employ ppl. You cant leave juniors on their own, unless they have plenty of experience and are more mature, they'll be on the phone begging you to come back! |
