Would love reg work but have three young kids so money as a florist wouldn't cover nursery as a' regular' thing. Nearly got my own shop few weeks back but issues with no parking etc scuppered that.
I am working freelance from home at the moment as 'The Occasional Florist' but when I first started I worked for Ian Lloyd in Northwich. |

you will be surprised, even when quiet there will always be plenty to do !! use that time to leave full timer in shop and go out to businesses etc and gather new customers and corporates...thats what i did. was on my own for 18 months in shop..... took the plunge and employed a florist !! that was 12 years ago, now have 8 staff ! problem is now 3 are off on maternity leave... bloody nightmare... so only employing GAY MEN from from now on !!! brilliant !!

Invented by...
Wages : negotiable : down to experience/qualifications and area....( we are tight arse bastards down this way, u would be lucky to get above bloody min wage , who the hell invented that anyway)[/quote]Im sure it was invented by the very same people who where on tops £2.50 an hour, under their own steam they would never have achieved £2.99 an hour,so they some how got the goverment to con us into paying them a sack full more than they where/are worth.

Thanks goodie for that advice, it has made me feel better. I think you are right and i just have to take the plunge. It is only part time and there is definatley something always to do even if cleaning. Really appreciate advice from someone who has been there and done that and still doing it so must be good. good to be able to chat to people in same boat also. I am in my fourth year and am hoping to make some money this year. we do about 60 weddings a year so i should make money to keep someone on. right thats it tomorrow i am putting an add in!!!! Also, someone advised me before that when quiet just put price up slightly so no one notices and that will cover some costs. still open for more advice if anyone has it.
