I would give it to whoever was first in the door and served first.

For someone's first post, it was clearly a calculated reply, I think it's a shame that this incident has been taken in completely the wrong way. |

putting the record straight
in response to the comments about non delivery of plants at mothers day I feel I need to put the record straight. This particular customer had not bought from ourselves since 02/10/2007 yet wanted a delivery of 2 trays of plants adding up to approx 20 pounds value. As you will all be aware pink roses were part of the interflora collection for mothers day and due to the early date of said event were in very short supply .The salesman who took the order did so on the understanding that more of a order would be forthcoming we are after all in business to sell flowers/plants,however Sarah did not ask for anything else so must have bought the rest of her stock from elsewhere.Obviously her regular supplier had let her down so she came to us asking for an item which was already scarce maybe she should vent her spleen at these guys.Put yourself in my position who do you look after first your regulars whose trade feeds my family or someone who shows you no loyalty and in fact wasnt even prepared to come and collect the plants. I do agree that the tone of the e mail was harsh but also necessary to all those who have resonded to this forum maybe you should ask your own suppliers what they would have done in the same circumstance. We do not intend to cause offence but we have to concentrate on our loyal customers first especially at peak periods.
I do not appreciate the name of my company being dragged throuh the mud on such forums especially as you are all granted anonymity, a privelege that I have not had extended to myself. Jim Makin Director Turner Makin ltd |

I would prefer that if one of the florists on here has a problem with a wholesaler, that the wholesaler actually comes on to state there side of the story or to try and rectify or apologise for the error.
Getting so called regular customers to post saying how great they are blah blah is so see through-able. Anyway lets let this die now before we start throwing cakes at each other. |
