ivy shower bouquet
Hi to all,
Please could any one help with advice or pictures of an ivy shower bouquet just using ivy. Things like how would you get it to hang without it loosely dropping straight. Does anyone know of a frame you could use? Any help much appreciated. Thank You Townhill |

yo townhill. Did you ever see Victoria Beckams bouquet? That was a whole lotta Ivy, she had apples and berries in it but it was mostly Ivy. Try and google it?

If you want to use natural ivy trails perhaps just a bit of support wiring here and there, or branching units using the thinnest possible wire....

I remember reading that Victorias bouquet was made the old fashioned way.. using a ball of moss as the base and wiring each piece into that. Must have weighed a ton!

Yeah sas, if you remember back (its in the books somewhere) it was a golfball sized piece of moss that was tied with string, and then the stems (only had heavy wire then so fewer wired heads but they did use them) were threaded through the ball - actually very light but really didn't last long. Thats why the bouquets were quite small in most cases.
