thats so cute!!! I have an old house too that looks ratty on the outside but the inside is bright and cheery and of course stylish...the thing with an 'older' house or store front is whatever you put outside as far as decoration/to sell goes it always catches the eye of a passerby! (Not dissing new buildings here!!) Way to go! Have fun!
