Local newspaper used to do competitions now and again so i'd give a bouquet to the winner. That was good publicity as they would promote it more than a normal ad and it worked out cheaper. Trouble is it was normally M/D and V/D and didn't really need it then. Best one was when the winner was 100 year old lady and we got a big pic/writeup in the paper

i always get invited to their seminars and they pay us £25 each for two of us in marks and spencers vouchers. You have to be pretty hard faced to attend and then say no but hey this is sales men we are dealing with. Have thought about it but when i listened to the radio i thought about how much impact that has on me and the answer was none at all. Maybe listen to some of the ads and see if that has had an impact on you???

I have always felt that as it is visual business we are involved in that radio advertising couldn't ever be effective. Also, I think most people switch their brains off to the adverts and I don't think anyone would ever go to the bother of getting a pen and writing down a phone no.
