As much as I loved the "F" in flowers idea and we had a great laugh with it for a few days I have decided to just tweak what I have. It was a bit of a scary prospect changing the name completely as the shop is so well established and I'm the first to say "if it ain't broke ....... don't fix it".

Treen, since we're negotiating I suggest instead of "for flowers Colchester" which, with your url, makes you look like you maybe only be a virtual shop, if you use "Colchester Flower Shop" it will "place" you in Colchester in the consumers mind and remove doubt that you are a real shop in Colchester (maybe I'm getting too jaded by all of the OG's on the net).

Treen, just a little trivia for you. Your mention of "F in Flowers" just reminded me about a shop owned by Randy Oberer in the US. Their slogan is "We put the Oh! in Flowers" and here is his site

That's a very good point Fly, and taking your last word (behind), slap your back pocket and which supermarket comes to mind? Asda, and why, because they devised a easy way to let shoppers know they would save money by using them. Aggressive marketing has been around for quite a while we just don't realise it!

I did take a lot of points from this thread and although I would have liked something completely different it sorta works ok!
