ps, sorry to clog up the whole of this thread but if you click on my website you can see a pic of my shop on the first page which shows a black and white picture and how i have done the backgrounds. one on right is a bit boring but i do think its important to incorporate things for sale in the window as this could encourage a customer to come in!
Hope these help. Thanks sosas and susies for advice on manequins also . |

yeah fp, i do like to keep my windows simple as i dont want to confuse the feckers, it doesnt take much
Love 1 and 1 been with em for years, i am a bit mean to be forking out that much cash to a prof for what is essentially a leaflet on the net. works for me anyway Thanks for your comments.. This thread has inspired me to get off my backside and do my windows but because of the size its a big job broke out![]() ps anyone else wanna share some pics of shops and windows, i have put pics of my shop on the gallery just for people to have a nose at and i would love to look at others, gives inspiration and motivation sometimes and i think we all need that from time to time!!! |

Great windows Tulips but they are huge arn't they? How about putting a strip of flowery wallpaper in alternate ones and then a lily vase with stem of lily, steel grass (with beads or skelton leaves on) and a palm leaf in the others. I do this when cash is tight and I'm stuck for ideas, another one I do is large cylinder vases with anastasia blooms inside (like a limited design) and raise them up on large goldfish bowls turned upside down with organza or sissal in them.

mmmm breezy that sounds really nice, i will have to think more creatively i think. I spend that much time thinking commercially these days about profit and time etc that the floristry part can easily pass me by, thanks for inspiration, have you any pics????

Errrrrrrr no sorry and even if I did I am thicker than Jack McThick so probably couldn't post em anyway
It's difficult to keep coming up with new ideas to keep the punters interested and it not costing an arm and leg, oh just had another thought do you sell plants - you could use the same idea with large plants (palms or someit0 with some small goldfish bowls round them or if you have loads of bowls you could build towers of them (stuff them with sissal, cello) with floating gerbs in the top one - ohhhh I'm on a roll now...... Gunna be dressing your window in me sleep![]() |
