Not sure if it's illegal or not but I've had plenty of leaflets left on my screen so it's got to be worth a punt.

Saying that I find them annoying if I don't see them till I get in then have to get out again to shift the damn things!

The only problem with putting them on cars is because of litter most people remove and throw down your name is on leaflet so you are responsible for the litter

Snowdrop is correct. As far as i'm aware the actual act of putting a leaflet on a car can be construed as tresspass and it is littering. Besides, have you really ever been pleased to get one?

Hairdressers - i get a lot of referrals from our local (and it always has my flowers in)

Cafes.

Spar Shops - boards are free - put about 20 up and people will help themselves.... or at least they are here.

Do you have a community newsletter? We have a quarterly 2 page one thats very local (1300 homes) and only costs £20 for a colour ad - as it also has all the local events/charities etc in, it helps people see you as part of the community.

also, keep a load for when you open - i'm still being asked for a leaflet (not a card) a year on.

Best of British

I wouldn't bother with cars - I always bin them as I think it looks a bit desperate!
I think community advertising is cheap and tends to work -our local businesses seem to get more enquiries from local mags/bulletins than anything like yellow pages.
Good luck!

I think community advertising is cheap and tends to work -our local businesses seem to get more enquiries from local mags/bulletins than anything like yellow pages and like susie said cafes and hairdressers -I'm always admiring flowers there. (well actually now I'm training I'm critically assessing flowers there!)
Good luck!
