hi leanne, if i needed flowers for three days i would try and cover different designs and as you are new maybe get the longer lasting flowers. here is just a suggested guide but others may say different.

my xanths come in 20 stems

1 kermit
1 spider
1 daisy
1 spray cars pink
1 spray cars orange
1 car blooms pink
1 car blooms orange
1 aziatic lillies pink
1 short ruscus
4 salall (for handtieds)
1 delistar green
1 gerb pink
1 galdiolus
1 tulips (mine come in 50 stems)
1 anthurium
1 fatsia
1 anthurium
1 snake grass
1 bear grass
just an idea, not sure how busy you will be obviously but most of these flowers will last longer even if you dont sell them. They will do you for posies and handtieds and funeral sheaths and giftwraps and modern displays. Any funeral work will have to be catered for differently but you will be able to do single ended or double ended with them. Hope this helps and good luck

oooo, thats a hard one leanne, I wouldnt like to tell you what to buy incase you are left with piles of stock and then it would be my fault. I will say that dont overbuy on your first order but try and have a nice selection. Filler flowers like soli, aster, wax, statice, lemonium come in wraps of 25 so I wouldnt get too many of them, maybe 3 fillers at most to begin with? other things like lizzy, lillies, delphinium, antirhinum you can buy in 10s so stick to 10 of each. When you are ordering do ask how many is in a wrap so you are not thinking you have bought 10 of something and 50 arrive. Gerbera and germini you may have to buy by the box but most places do half boxes which I think there are 30 in a half box, or gerbera also come in rackets which are slightly more expensive but there are less in them. Chrysanths usually come in wraps of 20 stems (or 4 bunches of 5 stems), thats if you are buying off of the dutch men but if you are using a local market then usually you can buy single bunches of one colour. Carnations come in 20s or 25s, foliage - now if you are buying eucolyptus off of dutch, you dont want to buy a wrap cause there is piles in a wrap, you want a couple of little bunches costing £2 somthing each, same with most other foliages. I made a mistake my first valentines order and ordered 5 wraps of eucolyptus when I meant little bunches (not even one wrap). Luckily dutch man too them back. Hope this helps

apple talks sense too, forgot to mention fillers, i like statice or solidago and gyp good for posies, i can get gerbs in the 10s. the list i made was an intention lasting list for you but not sure if you will run out and how much you are intending to put in bouquets, maybe get enough 15 ht for your first three days and then you should have enough. Would you agree apple?

You Will Always Need Focal Flowers And Filler Flowers, And The Good Old Favourites So I Would Suggest
X-anths- Dellianne - Alstromeria - Spray Cars - Large Cars - Gyp - Solidaster - Lillies - X-anth Blooms - Roses - And Don't Forget Lots Of Foliage. Buy With Caution As You Dont Want To Be Selling Old Stock When You Have Just Opened Else You Will Loose Custom Before You Start. Better To Re-stock Regularly The Above Will Give You Scope To Do An Aqua Bk , A Traditional Bk, A Posy A Basket Or Even A Wreath For A Funeral Should Someone Walk In Wanting One The Next Day. Best Of Luck. I Was Nervous When I Opened My First Shop And Just As Nervous When I Opened My Second - But Hey I'm Still Running 2 Shops 6 Years Later.

It is so difficult to say init tulip, if Leanne is in a small village then she may not be that busy, dont know really. I think the most we can say is try and get a nice selection and buy the least amount, apart from xnths which I would suggest maybe, 10 or 12 bunches of 5s? I wouldnt buy freesia probably for my first order, not that thats been mentioned Im just thinking they are in wraps of 50 stems and can loose a bit on them if you dont sell them.
