hope some of you lot can help me on this one?????? im sure a lot of you do work for a funeral director..ie there customer orders flowers off them and funeral director orders them of the florist.....what discount (if any) do you apply to the funeral directors orders?????

read a few, seems that the couple of posts that actually discussed the matter im asking help for are saying 10 to 15%.........so is this the rule of thumb or does anyone give a different amount???

We dont give the f/d the cut, what we do is donate a % to the local childrens hospice, which the f/d supports, and we get tax relife on this.

Sorry Gerbera..we dont work like that with our FD's. Its a matter of they hand out the cards and th customer decides.

Last shop I worked in gave 10% but shop I am in at present gives no discount on anything

15 % with us.... but there are a few in Swansea at 20% difficult to make money at 15% without cutting corners but the quantity of work tends to make up for it......

We don't give them a discount.

We give them a quality product at a competitive price.

They add their own mark up to our price.

Our product is also Quality and very competitive, Would be horrified to find that the FD was adding to our prices, one of the benefits of getting the order is that the customer would use u again (not via the FD) they would be a little surprised to be paying 2 diff prices, could drop someone in to the proverbial, Much prefer to give the discount, works for us anyway.

One of the FD's did tell me (one from the Co-op) that a florist was caught giving 2 diff prices, one higher for the FD work and was subsequently dropped and not used again... we do deal with a couple of Co-op Fd's and 2 independants (a lot of Fd's in Swansea) so we would not want to risk losing any of them.
