Advise please.

Advice pease on what you would do. If you had been sent thru the relay a basket of plants to be delivered to the local hospital, and when u get there the ward doesnt accept flowers or plants, its a general ward by the way, would you still charge the sending member, and would you leave the get well soon card, as the lady is unlikely to be coming home?there is no other member of family who live locally to accept the gift?

Hmmmm that is a sticky the sending florist would have to be informed while you are left with the item the customer would almost certainly want a refund so would imagine the sending florist won't want to be out of pocket at the very least you should be able to retain delivery charge think this is something you and sending florist would have to come to agreement on you could have a fight on your hands trying to retain full payment but suppose it is worth a try

Good Morning, yes would leave the card, we would also contact sending person to advise them of situation, suggesting we replace order with a silk something!! also would explain that so far I would need to charge for a delivery, I think that is reasonable we can`t work for nothing.!

Strange card 'get well soon' if the lady isn't likely to leave hospital, most inappropriate, but I'd leave the card...
I'd charge the sending member....you've used your time, money and effort to carry out the order, why should you be outta pocket, not your fault. This must happen time and time again now....is there no contingency plan agreed by relays?

i personally would refund and just charge delivery costs as you could probably still sell the flowers/plants to somebody else

Id see if they would have silk first, if you have silks, and ask the sending member if the customer want to pay for another delivery or shall you take it off of the silk arr. price so they know you've had to charge them for another delivery. other than that id claim for delivery only
