from Bradford Hi guys first a bit of information, that some of you may find useful. If you live in Bradford & leeds, there is a new government programme called LEGI (Local Economic Growtn Initative) basically small pots of money available for marketing, website and if you create a new job you could get up to £1000, there are business mentors available to help you, simlar to business link but more proactive, its a 3 year programme. Drop me a line if you want further info as I work in this field. I can give you further contact details. Furthermore if you guys want any info about targeting your floristry business at the Asian community let me know, I will try to help (im from a asian background, and done weddings & events etc) Many of you may think I am mad as a hatter when I tell you the next bit. Bascially a fantastic opportunity has come away, and i am opening a very small florist, the aim is to keep it local & target the very big asian community in Bradford (only one at the moment). but sometimes you just have to go for it..... Anyway I am trying to put together a portfolio for the shop so customers can see pictures of arrangements etc basic funeral stuff and wedding boquets. I have pictures of my work buts its not enough at the moment. Any ideas where I can get pictures/images of arrangements from.......pls and i dont even want to think about joining any kind of relay at the moment. secondly where is the best place to buy floristry fittings from e.g diplay units etc cabinets, stands etc I hope i havent asked too much... ![]() look forward to speaking soon Noor ![]() |

Congratulations!
Hi Noor
Congratulations on your new venture! Having such a targeted niche market base sounds really commercial! Can't help with the floristry questions but would love to find out more about Asian traditions for flowers for Asian wedding ceremonies. Please pm me if you'd be interested in sending us some info - we think it would make a really interesting feature for the magazine - we'd credit your business of course. Kindest Regards Cath My Wedding Flowers Ideas Magazine |
