price of carnations
how much do you all charge for a single car? we charge 50p-60p but today i had to phone another shop about a cancelled order as they said it wasnt enough money to cover the order and when i asked why, as cars arent that expensive, she said she charged £1.20 -£1.50 each !!! we were all gobsmacked!!! do you consider that price to be unreasonable?? or are we to cheap?

Where in the country is this florist?????
That is extortionate,if we all use the usual mark up(as discussed in other threads) i fail to see who they can get beyond..and this is really pushing it 70p,personally im with you around 50-60p.

apple the order was for near aberdeen and she kept telling how lucky i was not to have to pay such high prices as she had to but as you are in scotland i take it prices are not THAT high there,the bloke who ordered it paid £25 for a few roses and cars which we thought was acceptable

we charge 75p for ours, put it up from 50p about 6 months ago.
carnations have been 50p ever since i started floristry 12/13 years ago so i thought its about time the price needs to rise, along with every other bloody thing on this planet at the minute.

Flowers are the same price anywhere in the uk i would have thought because of large companies like heemskerk and metz etc as they deliver all over....she must have a bit of sheeps wool in her head or something, must no be right in the head up there or her wholesaler is taking the p**s
 . Amanda is nearer there than me, maybe she can enlighten us when shes online as to what the florist is thinking?

we thought she must be totally of her head .....but if thats the way it got to be we shall give the order to someone else!! we send this order to the same lady about every month -six weeks and no one else has refused it.i fancy a nice trip to scotland with the price of her cars i might as well volunteer to deliver it myself...anyone know of a good b&b

Jeeez !! we are 50p although i raise that to 60p a couple times a year, xmas and val day. But that florist is either being ripped off by her wholesaler or just plain greedy !!

Wow are here dipped in gold then lol cos we only charge 50 to 60p and then 70p at peak times she sounds just greedy
