Hi
I know this is an old post but we've just had Mothers Day, I've been off with a cold and we're short staffed so this is the first time time this month I've had a chance to post... Oh yeah this one's a scam....it's been doing the rounds world wide it seems, I've received this email several times over the last 6 months or so. First time I received it I rang the "suspicious transaction" number for credit card authorisations and no surprise to me it was a fraudulent card. It does highlight what we need to look out for - unusually large order and trying to pay with more than one credit card. I wonder if anyone has been sucked in to the point of buying in the roses? I would almost feel sorry for them...almost.

We get those Spams in New Zealand too
I have been getting heaps of those sorts of emails in the last few weeks.
One of the first ones I actually replied to, gave a quote etc etc and then when he gave the delivery address as an orphanage in South Africa I got a bit suspicious. He rang me after he received the quote and I told him we did not ship internationally unless we received money via direct credit to our bank account. He said he could only pay via credit card... I said that's ok, go to your bank and get an advance on your credit card in cash and transfer it to my account.. HE HUNG UP!!! hehe ![]() |

![]() I had one call for a £100 bouquet on valentines day, could he pay by card and have it delivered....thankfully i didnt have card machine in till next day so i turned it down. Id rather go and collect the cash than risk the card. It does worry me. Anyone ever had a chargeback? x |
