Must be colour blocked for me !! Im definately obsessive about his !! I have photo in the gallery of my pink section last week, and i group pinks, purples blues cerise together and go round into white and lime greens. In another seperate section i have yellow, oranges reds etc. The summer flower, pinks etc look fab at the moment !!

i do both, start the week with colour blocking, then tend to move them into colour combinations, maybe pastels & brights, contrast etc, I have palest pinks, creams & blues then zingy tropical/fiesta colours right now. its usually whatever i need to sell first!
my 'stand' itself is made up of individual square pillars based on 40cm square, the smallest are 40cm square then 40 by 80, 40 by 120 40 by 160. i can change them around to my hearts content, stand them up, lay them down, stack em, they're all painted to match my shop too, a kind of soft olive. when i suss out how to resize my photos i'll post in the gallery! |

We have stepped stands (which personally I wish we had never bought) and have the fillers at the back - lilies must be in the middle - well the shop is named Lily's - but as to the rest of the flowers we tend to put them where they look the best - if that means blue next to green or pink next to yellow - so be it.
At the moment we are going for the "country" look so have a lot of "country" flowers - forget me nots, stocks, muscari etc. they look fab together. ![]()

we usually group by colour, if not then by type.
regarding the pink and yellow debate, we personally don't use that combo but our new employee has started to introduce it into the stuff that she does, i guess some people like and some people don't...... |
