Your flower stand

Just wondering how you all arrange your stands?

Do you arrange them in colour sections? Flower sections? Or just whatever flowers fill that gap to make it look bonnie?

I have tried that doing it in colour sections but don't really like it i think my shops too small but if i had a larger shop i'd give it a go and have say a section of reds, oranges then another section of pinks tones and tints and maybe a blue and green then a just white sec

but at the mo i just make it up as I go along but i am particular of what goes where and my girls haven't quite got there yet with what looks best where etc...

what do you do at the mo?

Oh god, everything in my shop is 'grouped' in to colour sections, I couldn't bear it any other way. I feel that it helps me when putting things together and is also more pleasing to the eye for customers.

Our flower stand in made up of lots of individual tables and stands at different sizes and heights. We also have things like coloured candles etc grouped together in with the flower sections, it looks fab!!

Sorry, blowing my own trumpet there, ha ha!!!

Same as you.

My rules.. Lillies and bamboo go at the back shelf, alstro in the corner infront of the lilies. There can not be two buckets of the same type of flowers beside, directly above or below each other. Foliage always goes on the floor and each type of flower has a certain sized vase to go in.

Even at busy times the stand has to be just right! Sonia isn't too bad, although she's good at mixing flowers in vases and that REALLY bugs me

Anyone else seeing early signs on O.C.D?

amanda signs of ocd with you definately, what i want to know is what is the extreme opposite of ocd cos that is me. I just put my flowers out without much thought and to be honest because we dont hold loads of stock the colour thing wouldnt work for me although i would do this if we were busy enough.

i do spread out the choice as well as the xanths and fillers though i suppose but kinda not on purpose. always something else to do like come on here

right you have made me feel guilty now i am off to play with my flower stand

I love colour ( this week ) anyway, so grouping colour is not an option, however I like them stepped and same lenght flowers on the same level together,, mixing heights drives me crazy ( this week) anyway..

Move over MD and Amandas cos I'm in the OCD club too. If my stand doesn't look right nothing else gets done till it's sorted, thats where people see the flowers so it's important to get it right and god help anyone who puts yellow directly next to pink

Our fresh flowers we usually just do what looks right, but do go with the addage of tallest at the back moving down. Also foliages go on one side for easy access. Is a bit tricky getting it right as our display area is inside a big open fireplace.

I just checked to see if i had yellow next to pink... im safe

Took me and Sonia 2 hours to put my stand together the day before I opened...what a carry on! On the shelf, off the shelf, up a shelf down a shelf, swap this swap that stand back and look...... everything off and start again
