So if you have a large wedding on or say 2 weddings on for the saturday how far in advance do you start them and how do you store the flowers etc...

just intesting to see what everyone does I personally do all church/reception flowers the day before and bridal party on the day sometimes do h/t bridesmaids n bride day before depends on how i am doing with time but showers i always do on the morning and the buttonholes and corsages on the day.

all handtieds the day before, and all pew ends
showers in dry oasis on the day
buttonholes, corsages etc the day before in the fridge
posies, pedestals, top tables etc up to two days before

table centres depends on the designs, a lot of mine are set up on site.

I have had 4 weddings on one day...( and a divorce in the evening) Regardless of how many weddings I have a system of foliage on tuesday for a sat wedding,, flower up on thurs /fri handties depending on the flowers the night before or 5 o clock am start for bridal bq,, all buttonholes day before. pew end all day befor too.. not a bother... Then when its all done a bottle of plonk...happy days.

99% the night before, even if that meant 3am finish. I just couldn't sleep unless i knew everything was ready to go. The way i looked at it, if it wasn't going to last more than 24 hours, there was something wrong with the flowers. I never had any problems but you do have to look after stuff.

Day before, though peds, tables etc greened up usually Wed/Thurs. Suppose it depends on how big, what time and how busy you are really. If it was only a small, late wedding I probably wouldn't do it till the morning.

I got two on saturday. Anything in oasis has been greened up, anything to go in water is prepped and sat in buckets. The bridal shower bq is greened up too. All the handtied stuff will be done tomorrow and left in water. I think I'll do the b'holes and corsages on sat morning. I pretty much have everything ready to go, i wouldnt sleep if I didnt!

Everything the day before apart from bridal bouquet and bridesmaids bq' etc. The corsages and buttonholes etc I take home and make them in my bed! 2am I finished bleeding hand bag corsages the other week

Im the same as fly, everything the day before or else I cant sleep, it is very seldom I would have to change something because of doing it too early, the only thing that comes to mind is a corsage with white roses looked like someone sat on it the next day. I find the reception can be tricky though because I like to go after Ive delivered the brides flowers because then the tables are set up so if there is pedestals to do, which i always do in situ, then time can be a factor, in which case I go twice. If Ive done pedestals in a church the night before then I have to go and check they are okay on the wedding day even though they are always fine, you never know what might happen in a church overnight

honey i forgot about the bottle of plonk - i have a few days this year with four on - doable but yeah divorce is probable! and after plonk, snoorrreeeee

Hard work it is no-one can talk to me when that happens... funny though this year i have only two dates that i have a double on but one wedding a day is a piece of cake..
