What the general feeling/experience of online flower companies? I see that the name Metz has cropped up a few times with a positive. I did visit them at SFE this year but also talked to Heemskirk, who spoke of marvelous prices if you ordered by the dutch bucket full -plus you can zoom in on nice pics. Can anyone tell me if they have ordered from them? If so did the quality stand up too? Or does anyone have any tips about ordering online? Regards

I use Heemskerk, been using them for about six months or so now and have been pretty pleased with what I've had.

I do like the fact you can take a look at photos of most things before you decide to buy. I haven't had any problems with quality - at the end of the day you get what you pay for. I often order a few really cheap bits and pieces for things like wedding fayres where I know I don't need things to last etc.

Metz are meant to be really good - someone sent me a price list once and I thought everything seemed pretty comparable to what I pay on average. They do have a minimum order of I think it's £200.

hi i order from heemskerk good prices but sometimes the quality is a bit random but once you get used to the website and the growers and codes you'll find it easy but the plant section is to die for such quality and variety the price is so cheap ie ranunculus plants were 6p last week i put them in the door way and sold more from a 6p plant marked at 50p it encourages more sales and the fact that the same plant was £1.50 at b&q try it theres only £200 minimum it would hurt once or twice good uck and let me know how you go on

www.heemskeerk.com try phoning them first though i did this and talked to them personally and seem to have a better buying relationship with them even more so now because i have my auction buyers number in speed dial on my phone so if the flower i want isn't at auction i phone them and ask him to buy for me very handy for wedding flowers good luck and let me know how it goes or if you need naymore help xxx
