Yellow Pages and BFA
Anybody else had the hard sales pitch from Yellow Pages?? They phoned me yesterday to say British Floral Association are placing an add in the book and are asking florists who are members if they want to be included in the listing under their banner. Nice earner for them as charging each florist £87 + VAT for the year for shop name and 2 lines... I declined the offer...I mean will the general public actually know who the BFA are...I doubt it...So dont think it will make a difference to sales.

Had the BT rep in yesterday, in amongst boxes upon boxes to be conditioned, a funeral to day and was playing catch of on the orders. Still continued to do her pitch even though i had said i couldnt talk and was up to my eyeballs in it!! No, No, NO NO!! She still wouldn't take it on board!! I know these people are only doing there job but clear off when im trying to do mine and take the NO when I say it the first time!

I could kick at the money that slipped through my fingers with advertising etc, could set a shop up on a shoestring now. Best advertising is pr which is FREE yippeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
well and yell.com and yell pages which of course arent bloody free!!
