Thats the reason I wanted mine to begin with 'A', fly, so that i would be top of directories, and no its not called 'A flower shop'

The only name that puts me off is Ltd. companies. most florists arent Ltd companies but there are a few about, theres one in Glasgow for instance. I dont really know why that puts me off, I think its cause it sounds like a factory

It's a good point Apple. It can tend to sound too 'corporate' and lacking the personal touch which is what the appeal should be.

I hate tacky stuff too!

At the mo in hull, its all .....lounge or ...... room or .....loft stuff like that

I didnt want to use my name as the first word in my shops title but i did and its pretty small on my signage and ad so i get to the top of a-z

Didn't LTD get tax benefits in the past- also think if it goes tits up you're not personally liable eg don't lose house etc?
May be completely wrong?

Limited Liability
A company can be limited by guarantee or share. It is a legal status and can't just be 'tacked' on to the end of a business name.

Limited companies have to register with Companies' House and must submit annual accounts.

It essential turns a business into a seperate legal entity, offering protection to it's members if things go pear-shaped!
