We did a funeral a couple of weeks ago for an eight year old little boy who had one of these. There were pictures of him and his family on it and a poem from his mummy and daddy. I thought it was very apt in this instance ........... it looked like a toy box and was very personal.

They still had flowers on it

Oh Treen, I think that I would have cried. Seeing those tiny white coffins cuts me up enough. But to have family photo's on it would have made it really special or them. When you go to southern europe many of the graves have photo's on them so why not the coffins? It's just us Brits who seem to be squeemish about these things.

So If people like them fine...............anything that gives the family some solace at that awful time is ok by me (except for me dressed naked astride a horse leading the funeral parade as one very strange dream had me doing one night - but that is another story!)[/quote]

On a serious note Im not too fond of these either - I like the traditional wood look or even the plain black ones I think are quite nice but I dont know about these colorfull ones with writing all on them - suppose it would depend on the person/family

I'm not convinced about those coffins...personal taste perhaps but I just don't think they are befitting the occasion.
