Cello and Cello stand

Hi guys

Need to sort out a cello stand for new shop. Not alot of choice out there and quite expensive! Any ideas much appreciated. Not the most exciting thing to buy.

Do you keep many different types of cello?. I worked in one florist that only used clear. There are so many different types to choose from.

Many thanks

Depending on how your shop is laid out, i built my own. Couple of pieces of wood and some lengths of dowel or copper pipe. You could go up the wall and have as many rolls on show as you liked. I had about 10-20 different types of cello on the go all the time so needed something easy to work with.

Another idea is to use curtain poles. We found the cheapest were the metal curtain poles from Argos. We have eight and just rotate the cellos. We also use one for ribbons!!

Hope this helps.

I used a wooden broom handle for mine, its on the uprights on myshelving between two brackets which unscrew to enable you to change the roll, have the same thing for my ribbons. Think the wooden broom handles were about £1.00-£1.50 in a diy store, got the brackets there too.

I bought my tissue/cello stand from the IS group. I think it was about £170. Expensive but it'll last and it'll keep the shop tidy.

My dad made a metal stand for me, and just did the simple 'metal stick with holder' trick for the ribbons.
