I have always found the commercial accounts software packages very unnecessarily complicated. I think I've tried every single one on the market and there's always something about them I don't like. In the end I wrote my own.
If you're not VAT registered you probably could do your accounts on a simple spreadsheet. I'm a bit of a spreadsheet saddo but once you get the hang of it they're really simple to use and will do all your calculations for you. I have a feeling Simplex do computerised versions of their account books. I've no idea if they're any good but if you've used that format on paper it may be a option. I would imagine you just input the data and let your PC deal with all the calculations. I'll have a little look around the net for you or maybe someone here uses them?

I've had a quick look around the net and as far as I can see Simplex don't do a spreadsheet type version of their books
There are a few people that do Excel mock ups of them but to be honest it's not that hard to do yourself, especially if you don't have to account for VAT. I should write one for florists and flog it! ![]() Any takers?
