Shop Reno Layout

Hi,
We will be moving to a larger space (14-1500 sq ft) soon and want to get the thoughts of fellow Floristnews members about ideas for layouts for our new shop. What do you consider the most important things to locate next to what within the shop? What things would you most want to include if you were doing a new shop? ANY AND ALL suggestions will be most appreciated.

Seems most likely we'll be staying in the Mall we're in so - the floor is slab on grade; ceilings are T bar - 10ft. The shape isn't decided yet but we'll finally have a rear loading door.

Thanks

Hugh Atkinson

Hi,i don't know how florist shops are fitted out in
canada, but we designed our's years ago. we actually have a work counter in the shop, our customers enjoy watching us arrange the flowers, and often take orders from the work we are creating. Its worth thinking about, if you have the room. Also, if I were to re-fit my shops now, I would make sure I could change it round every so often, rather than have everything fitted permanently, hope this helps you.
