Hi Steve,

I haven't any pics of a 3d pint of beer. But just as an idea you can get a Jumbo brick of Oasis(same size as a box of 20) and sculpt the basic shape from that. its priced the same as a 20 brick box too. You would just need a piece of hardboard to stand it on (maybe you could spray this up to look like a beermat)

Then you'll have the design you want all made from one piece at a smaller cost as a flat one would cost.

and with you arty talents i'm sure you would enjoy the challenge

Kaz

Funnily enough I was going to suggest the same thing...I would also recommend tho not to fully wet up the 3d design as it will be very heavy (I once did a spiderman head from a jumbo brick and weighed a ton). Alternatively give the oasis a really good spray.

ooh Gyp froth hehehehhe...think a 3d design could look very good...hope it goes well mate!

What price did u give them steven, obvioulsy the 3d is gonna be to 3 or 4 times (maybe more) expensive than 2d...... ...... ....

When u are doing the shape... dont be fooled into thinking that just because u have carved the design in the oasis correctly that the finished work will be ok.......... remember that when u add the double xanths it builds out, and the last thing u want is a Dustbin instead of a pint........

Get a spare jumbo......(just in case)

thats a good point steven, fba is right you would have to make it thinner than your average pint otherwise can turn out dumpy, like fba says like a dustbin or a bucket lol

i agree with fba re making it thinner, you will need your imagination for width of the finnished product. also, regarding the gyp froth, it can look good, but, i have seen a few with gyp froth, and unless done with exact neatness it can look terrible. remember guiness is a smooth froth, unlike lager. so if doing the gyp froth remember to be very very neat and get shed loads in, it gets eaten up very fast. good luck with it

You need to be careful with quoting for anything 3D...... You'll be surprised how much double even the smallest thing takes! Just to give you a guide with this one...... if you make a 3D model of a beer glass about 10inches high and keep the dimensions in proportions I would say you'll need about 30 stems of double to base it ...... a real guessimate but that won't be far out.
