the problem is we get asked to do wow things but they want to spend zero money.

yeh,, for example one of our clients saw a pedestal arrangement that we did that was worth about 250-300.. the next day she calls and asks..
"can i have something similar to what i saw yesterday? i want to spend £35!"

one of my florists has this lovely way of telling customers how much they should spend when they've day dreamed about what they want, she kinda goes (in a lovely soothing voice) 'yes..you'll need about...55 for that including delivery' and she more often than not gets whats she has suggested

What a fantastic site, got me thinking, are we too conservative when offering table centres etc to brides? If they could see examples - on a more modest scale of course - of exciting designs like this would they find a way to pay? I tend to go in at £20 - £35 on table centres, plus hire of any vases etc required, but recently had a girl who wanted something really special, tentatively went in at £60, brief email correspondence, pictures and dimensions discussed and we have now settled on £75 for the 4 main tables (the step family's tables stayed at £35 though!! Some politics there!)

On the other hand, looking at our bookings overall, I think our reception flowers bookings are down on last year, there is a bit of a trend for people to be wanting to save money by doing it themselves.
