I'm signing the lease and picking up the keys for my own shop on friday! I'm sooo excited but I dont know what to call the shop!!!!! All the things I do from home go out with a Flowers by Sarahjane card on them! I'll be handing my notice in to the shop I'm at the now with a view to be trading by the 2nd week in august! I'll post some pics when I get a chance!!

Help me with a name please guys???!!!

I did a search of the site for threads like this as i thought... jeezo... dont want to be 1 of 50 people asking the same Q! but only found 2 threads .... one about the worst flower shop names and one for the funkiest! lol

If people know you for your flowers that you do at home I would suggest you do as Zoe suggests and keep the same name.

what kind of shop is it going to be traditional, modern, country, high street, city......any colours in mind, whats your favourite flower? oooooooo i like shop names lol

Well I work in a shop atm so people know me from there, I tend not to do alot of work from home, mostly weddings as i'm usually quite busy at work with other things. I just think it looks funny seeing my own name on a card lol

The shop front will be white with black lettering, going for quite a modern trendy sort of feel as I'm only 26 and dont want it looking oldy worldy. its on a high street across from a wedding shop, next to a kilt shop and up abit from hairdressers.
My partner wants me to call it the wee flower shop, but I think it sounds abit like you'd expect an old lady to be working there lol

I dont really have one i prefer, i'm more of an aqua rose kinda girl i think

If it was me id personally stick with flowers by sarahjane some people will already know who you are

is it a small shop then? i dont really like the wee flower shop, to me it sounds like a urinal, cause wee is associated with pee really? I know you are in fife but still. anyway if its small then what about using yours name like, sarahjanes flower box, or sarahjanes flower den, or something like that but if its modern then i think Designs by Sarahjane sounds better

Keep the same name Sas...There's really no point in changing it (unless you're getting hate mail for some reason). It's a lovely sounding name so i would stick with it.
