Hi!

I am looking to really make a push on weddings for next year! Does anyone have any crazy, interesting, new or just ANY ideas or suggestions on where to advertise for the least possible cost????

Do you have nice photos of your wedding work? I've found by being really helpful to the local magazine people and suplying lots of pointers on wedding flowers that they can work into their articles along with good quality photos of wedding flowers gets a big mention in the editorial. I always advertise in the issues that have me featured in the editorial too. I use the same wedding advert in everything for a couple of years so it's easy for people to spot.

A harder one is the hotel wedding brochures, you really do have to take care with them as they are all vultures, but it did work for me. I built up a really good relationship with the wedding coordinator at the most popular wedding venue locally and then advertised in their brochure. She handed this brochure out to every bride that she showed round whilst singing my praises and this got me bookings even if brides chose another venue in the end. This only works tho if the wedding coordinator is on side, it's a waste of money otherwise. Oh, and never pay the price these brochure vultures ask for the ad tho, always make a really cheeky offer of at least half or less of what they are asking hehehe.

Hi mel, yes we did a wedding open day at our shop (Goodies shop) we advertised it in the local paper and got our local radio to mention it, then we got a guy who does wedding cars to put a beautiful wedding car out the front of our shop, in exchange for us given his business cards out, we contacted all our brides for forthcoming weddings and did some flyers on the computer. Goodie made lots of wedding designs and set the workroom up with her displays. Check out her albums. there are photos on there. here photos are a little small so I will put them in my album.....give me a few minutes. Hope this helps.
