wristlet corsages

Has anybody used these white velcro fastening wristlets? We cannot figure out the best way to use them. Does anybody know if you are supposed to fix the metal prongs around the stems or what? The whole lot of us are clueless as to how to use them properly?

you make the corsage with two legs so the prongs can be folded down over them, they are a bit fiddley. p.s. try not to open and close the prongs a lot they will snap off after a few goes

Hi Maryjohn
Welcome to the club

I use these all the time for wrist corsages. First of all, wrap some stem-tex around the metal prongs to stop them showing through when finished.
Now wire up the corsage leaving the wires long, say 3-4 inches. Lay the corsage on the wristlet so the tails are between the clips and bend the clips over to secure the tails. Now bend the corsage through 180 degrees so it lays back over the clipped tail wires. if you want some stems showing, wire these in separately so they hang out the bottom end. You can now add ribbon or you could tie the ribbon on before the bendy stage. That's basically it, but if you fiddle about alolng those lines you will work out something that looks right. I'm sure others will do it differently, but that's one way of doing it.

Thanks potty - your pics looked lovely. We have been using them for a while but were nover sure what to do with the wire prongs. Are going to experiment with artificial flowers and see how we get on doing the twisty thing!! Will let you know how it goes!

We also use the velcro wristlets using both methods stated when glueing items on we close the prongs first and cover with pot tape glue then holds everything in place

Yes glue will stick to pot tape so if we are glueing anything ie plastic metal we always put pot tape on first holds really well
