Question Pedestals

I just wanted to get a general consensus on pedestals for weddings.

Would you be happy to do them on a thursday for a saturday wedding? We have such a large wedding, that to get it all done, we need to spread out the work and I wondered if it would be OK to do them on the thursday I have never done them earlier than the day before, before!, so I just wanted to gauge opinion.

Thanks
Anenome x

We did large pedestals on a Wednesday for the Mayor thingy at college on the Friday
they were made in wet foam and then stored in the stock storeroom which was quite cool
when they went out on friday they were fine ~ I lived closest to the college so popped in on the thursday to make sure they still had water in the foam and give em a mist spray

They'll be fine. Keep 'em watered and misted.

Oh thanks guys. That's given me the confidence I needed to go ahead with the plan. 4 of them are in a church so it should be nice and cool in there overnight.

You should have no problem at all....as long as you use the freshest of flowers. I always make my peds on Wed & Thurs for weekend weddings. Will be making 8 tomorrow for saturday and will be using Gladi, lilys, singapores, anthuriums, roses, snapdragon, hydrangeas etc....

Good luck

x

If you can keep them in the church it should be ok. Most of our pedistals keep for about 3 weeks in the church, watered and misted.
