Florist News

Ok guys just found something out and i cant decide if its good news or bad news for me or nothing changes

The other florist in the village (think ive said this before) she has been having problems with her landlord as he wanted the shop for himself so has put the rent up and she has finally given in and decided to move.She is staying in the village but moving to a bigger corner shop but its not actually in the main shop area(like mine also not being in the main shopping area) and i would say she is as far away from her old shop to her new shop as i am from her old shop we are the opposite ends of the village.Were basically like 2 book ends of the main village shops

So do you think this is a bad thing for me good thing or nothing has changed i cant work it out.I was hoping she was gonna take the stress of her landlord and shut down completely but never mind cant have everything

So what do you all think ???

I have to say that I don't think much has changed. All she is doing is relocating. Therefore she will still have the same customers going to her as before but in a different location.

i recon if shes further away then its a good thing, cant work out from your explaination whether that is so or not lol (sorry, brain freeze). If your in the main shopping area then it doesnt matter how much bigger her shop is, theres a lot to be said for passing trade.

i think you are in a good position although your competitor hasnt moved far at least its away from the main shopping area and most people like things to be central

Not much difference i would have thought. You will need to attract customers to your end of the village. You could do this by being very competitive and keeping an eye on her prices ?

I am new to the sight. HELLO! This is FLOW: It sounds to me like the woman in question wasn't that much of a threat before, so she is even less of one now. Besides before shes had chance to spread the news to all of the customer's she had before you could of poached the lot. I am not saying that it is a nice thing to do, but remember if she had gotten half the chance, and it was you having to move, she wouldn't hesitate to do the same thing to you.
