I think it's kids who must like them. I remember crazing my parents for a venus fly trap when I was about 10 and then having hours of fun poking flies in the little head bits.

I got home from work today to be met at the door by a pair of gleeful boys excitedly hopping around, talking over one another to tell me that their Venus Fly Trap had indeed trapped a fly. My four year old son was explaining how it tempted the fly in, while the other was itching to tell me how it snapped shut.
By the way, he is 32. And every time we get a downpour, he throws a plastic bowl onto the grass from our first floor window to collect rainwater for this pampered plant. Except he then stores it in my old Volvic bottles and had the very cheek to complain when I accidentally drank one!!!! bastard |
