Well today was a classic, had to deliver to a little village north of Worthing, village is the wrong word, hamlet is another, well lucky for me took my land rover, off roading quite nicely down country lane, got narrow and narrow, then eventually about 4 miles later found one of the Duke;s little cottages in about 5 acres, only a 20 bedroom mansion, you can just imagine, drove into drive, eventually got there, left car in paddocks, carried hand tied then into next part of drive , then 8 pairs of eyes were looking at me!!!! I was chased to the front door my 8 giant peococks and 4 tiny ducks, trying to peck my ankles and buttocks, had to stop myself wacking them over the head with the hand tied, it was a classic moment, I got into the car in shock,

oh, dont mention animals.

Our driver took a delivery to a house once, she knocked on the door, no answer, no neighbours either, so came walking back to her car.

just before she had time to get it, a bull dog or something along those lines came running for her, jumped the wall and bit her arm, wouldnt let go.

Recipient came out and couldn't get the dog off.

When she came in the next day her arm was black and blue, top to bottom, and full of bite marks and stitches, she had to go straight to hospital.

She phoned the police and they said a dog has to harm someone 3 times before anything will be done about it,

not sure if the same applies to peacocks.......hehe

Once went to a remote country area knocked and knocked got no answer just as I turned a giant dulux dog appeared and jumped up had me pinned to the front door got it of and went to get back into the van to write a call card when I opened the door brute jumped in and sat in the drivers seat I pulled pushed and thumped him but he wouldn't move eventually a farmer came along on his tractor saw me and came to investigate looked at me and laughed ach he's a friendly big lad and loves the car he ended up tying a rope on the brute and pull him out with the tractor a delivery that should have took 1 hour to complete lasts almost 3 hours

Maybe they told her wrong, they usually do round here.

They once gave me someone's personal details, name, address etc,

A woman crashed into my car and drove off, luckily a witness saw it and got her number plate,
I phoned the police and told them, gave them the number plate, and they preceded to give me her name and address and told me to go round!!

I thought that would be a breach of data protection?

Would have thought so....you would have all the nutters taking down the numbers of all the dolly birds and then phoning the local station for names and addresses...thank you officer...i'll let you know if i score!

Some dozy mare knocked my wing mirror off so I took down her details and called the police. They actually knocked on her door at home. She thought someone had died or something. They made her come and apologise to me at work. The shame of it! For her and me. It put the fear of god in her when the fuzz turned up! Still she wont flee the crime scene next time!

good..about her getting a telling off, not about your wing mirror it makes a change.. those kind of people normally get away with things!
