i think its best to always quote more on these sort of things, so you have a good margin for error, i dont like basing with roses its so expensive

We have done a couple of these with Vendella and once with Heaven. Ivy leaf edge on the foam based frame, not the naylor base ones. They took about 40 roses and we charged £120. Will try and upload a photo tomorrow.

Customer came back today - gave her a new price as my dutchman is bringing some 60cm passion that was much cheaper.

Talked them into having a moss-based heart edged in trailing ivy & contorted willow with a spray of roses in one corner and a smaller spray in the opposite corner joined together by ivy & willow entwined. Should look really nice - if anyone's got the from the heart sympathy book by Liz & Claire Cowling it's a variation on something in there.

Sadly I can't take credit for either of the tributes, they are the work of one of my girls. We do hardly any funeral work - literally like one local piece a month, if that - but the pieces we do get we use the Cowling book a lot, there are some really lovely desgins in it, think this rose heart must have originated there, it certainly didn't come out of the Interflora sympathy guide!!
