I would just outline what it is you are going to do and then quote a price for that. I wouldn't get involved in details of x amount for driving, x amount for this and that. The price you quote will be dependant on you doing the whole package, so you wouldn't want them to select a few components and hold you to the individual prices.

I always list it separately as a set-up and delivery fee. I would charge at least twenty quid just for delivery and collection if it was more than six or seven miles away (cos then you get stuck in manchester or lost in the sticks) so for two hours of my time as well I'd have to charge over fifty quid, but if you're hanging garlands and any are high up you'll need two people, its easier with two people anyway even if one is a junior just for an extra pair of hands and you'll be looking at probably the whole morning of faffing up ladders etc
The events place I worked at did quotes like a menu that you could select what you wanted from it (they tended to quote for everything and then wittle it down later) so they put a few lines on the quote about set up fees which included delivery and collection of props etc from £50-250 dependant on items chosen, (this depended on how many people and vans had to go)

I do the same as Sarah - have a seperate item on the quote for delivery & set up.
Last year we did a wedding about 50 miles away, as well as charging deliver & set up - we also gave them the option of us meeting them and viewing the venue in the planning stages and had a charge for that too which they were happy to pay. |

we do an overall total broken down into three main sections. bridal party bouquets and buttonholes, ceremony and reception/dinner.
within this we include any delivery or transportation costings. this way the client can not quibble over every little thing. as in the past we have had problems when giving a complete breakdown. |
