Calla prices
Hi,

I nearly fell of the dutch van yesterday, quoted £6 a stem for crystal blush.

All his other stock was more or less as usual, has anyone else had a massive price increase on anything.

It was only the crystal blush variety that was so high in price.

I did get another calla, bunch of 5 for 2.25, it was just that variety.

i ordered green hydrangea off mine i looked at them bloogy georgous then saidgod how much are they 2.25 oh ok worth it then he told me about he had ordered cystal blush for a wedding and got the wrong type sent and they were £6 a stem!!! he said he was lucky cause they sent the wrong ones he could send them back the florist turned them down!!! also white hydrangea was £6.00 A STEM WHITE DELP LAST WEEK £4.00 STEM maddness anything wedding like is ridiclus my cheaper dutch man had white peonies on for an order same price £2.25 stem!!!!

yes we had that last week.
we had a client that specially ordered the white peonies. and we had to do it free because of a problem she had with somehting else..
anyways that was the price!!!!

why does this happen?

regarding callas we once had a nightmare story with that..
lady ordered whole wedidng of callas and we quoted her a price based on the normal selling price of a calla.. came to pick up the flowers from our dutchmanand the price of the calla had shot up to nearly double !! all our profits down the drain!!!!

I went to market on monday I was in a rush so grabbed alsorts of pretty things and there was a bunch of 5 gorgeous white peonies left...I just grabbed them didn't ask how much. Back at shop, looked at bill £1.90 a stem!! I'm soo glad there was only five left as I would have got more!!

they weren't even for an order doh!
