charges
I have not charged customers as yet for taking plastic or cheques...Bank charges me.
Master card 2.8 percent of transactions
Visa card 2.8 percent
Visa Delta no charge ( hooray)
Commercial cards 3.4 percent (thats a lot)
Maestro 0.35p per transaction
Solo as above
Electron as above.
Terminal Rental (I think this is a rip off the banks should pay me to have a machine that is making money for them)
and Cheques paid into account I cannot remember what they charge.

this is the problem and my problem is that on a big order its a bigger chunk taken off, i was pondering whether to add it to the terms and condtions for weddings that card payments have a fee

never really thought about it before, but a really good point. We get a few payments by cheque, cash, debit card but the majority probably are credit cards. Going to have a think about this a bit more.... like someone else said, they've budgeted for it therefore 'have' the money so there must be ways and means.

doh! just remembered I've got a quote filed away from an event company that a bride brought me asking for a quote on. Their terms say a one percent charge will be incurred for credit cards payments
