If there's a whiff of bridezilla-ness about them I offer them to come in on Friday afternoon to view the flowers to be sure they are happy with them. Most of the time they say they haven't got time, and when we deliver on the Saturday half the time all the women of the household are out being preened and you get the dad or the brother, who just grunt at you and take the stuff off you.
What's she having for her bouquet? |

Haha I panic with every wedding too - have I done the right thing, have I used the right flowers, have I done the right numbers of things, even have I got the right date and the right venue!!! I go over and over the wedding order and my notes and tick it all off as it's made but I still get that horrible feeling in my stomach as I start to load it into the van ready for delivery!

Had one once who was sooooo easy to deal with, all she wanted was a handtied in burgandy, cream and pink.
Didnt mind what flowers, wanted to leave it up to us, anyway delivery time came, and apparantly it was wrong colours????? It was, as she asked, burgandy, cream and pink??? so i asked what was wrong, she said she wanted mostly pink and cream with a touch of burgandy??? Didnt tell me that until it was delivered, had to remake it, and add pale pink spray cars because that was the only thing in pink that was suitable in the shop......yuk. |

I've usually found that too Rosa, a random male looking somewhat non-plussed by the whole affair!
She's having the ubiquitous grand prix dome bound in black ribbon, can't go too wrong really but she did ask the other day how open the roses would be for the cake?! How the f*** do I know!! I think what I find weird is you sit and chat to these brides 6 months to a year before and in effect you're translating their ideas, you just think, God, is that what they were expecting? To be honest though, I think most are so wound up on the day they don't care! Last edited by alice; 16-07-2007 at 01:13 PM. Reason: Lots of people replied!! |

Its a great weight loss plan! The worst was when I did weddings from home, I'd be sneaking out of bed at all hours to check all the flowers! You do also become slightly obsessive compulsive doing checks to make sure you've done everything. I have a weird one where I'm convinced I've got the wrong day!!

Hi Alice, have you evergot the wrong day. I know that I have got up and gone to work on my day off. Drove all the way down then suddenly as I arrive outside the penny drops.(I never told my boss as she would think I was bonkers)
