The wire handbags are sold seperatly on either Jest Supplies or Rainbow on-line florist supplies. Don't use ebay as they are too expensive.

Has anyone tried covering these wire frames? I have a bride who wants a pair of shoes with a couple of roses tucked inside for her table centres, am at a bit of a loss knowing what to do as she wants them covering with silk fabric, I think they will look pants as I can't see how to get a good neat finish.

hi Rosa, I'm sure I have a distant memory of a pic of something like you describe in one of the wedding flower magazines. I've every copy since it started so it would take me a while to go through, it was a pic in one of the "readers weddings" section and i'm sure it was in pink. Can't help more than that! sorry, thats not really help is it?!

Yes, this is the wretched thing that she has seen and wants us to copy but I wasn't able to confiscate the clipping to see who the florist was. Why would you want this? Most peculiar thing to want to put on your tables, when you think about what else you could have for the same money.

I wish I had, I was so surprised though when she whipped it out, and you know, you try to be helpful and accommodating. She is using a wedding coordinator too so have got him sticking his oar in. He has emailed asking for a sample, and she now wants pink fabric on them not ivory, but hasn't said what shade of pink and hadn't chosen dresses when we met. She's also moaning about the cost of everything. I just have a bad feeling about the whole thing.

Apparently its bad luck to put shoes on a table! Try and get her to change her mind that way

yeah it is! (if you believe in that stuff) the fabris over the hsoes sounds pants, if she bascially wants it like a shoe why doesn't she just have proper shoes decorated with flowers or filled with flowers

This is the route I am now exploring, but price is the issue, and now also the shade of pink. Another bridezilla in the making I fear, esp with the wedding planner being involved, it's not a huge wedding after all and is at one of the less upmarket local hotels.
