Look in the wallpaper pattern books you may be able to get a sample. Places like John Lewis do fabric swatches or they used to...they may be able to help.

Have found some stuff for this but it is tough going. I think perhaps I read too much into an assignment sometimes and make it bigger in myhead than it actually is.
That cant be a bad thing making it bigger than it is. All that means is your putting your all into a project.

Just got my letter through today - start level 2 on Saturday 22nd. 1st lesson buttonhole - even tho done before, am glad as have a wedding to do a couple of weeks later so it'll be a good refresher.

Also been told to start considering and collect info. on current trends in the floristry industry e.g. what shops/designers are doing now. Thank god for Florist News - loads of threads to re-read and obviously if anyone has got anything new to post then fab and thanks in advance. Roll on the 22nd!

Hi all students, I am just starting level 3, finnished level 2 in July. My college had a huge amount of students last year so run extra class. So have loads more on level 3 which I think could be a problem. About sixteen in quite a small room. How big any other students out there classes?? Next week all doing pedestals, cant see how.

Hi Newgirl, on level 1 last year we started with 12 in a small portacabin. The year ended with 10 of us. It was pretty cramped and also I think the sewing/dressmaking class used the room as fixed sewing machines everywhere.

Thankfully, level 2 will be on a new site and I did a short course there in the summer - much better working space although no parking and it'll cost around £8 a week. Think there will be 12 of us again. Look forward to hearing your progress on level 3

Originally in my class there were 13 but now with the intergration there is 20 students. Its a large room tho with its own cold room so it shouldn't be too bad.

Hi Tree and Meggy Moo,
Dose'nt it annoy you when you just know that some will drop out. Such a waste of time. You can tell quite soon who wont hack it.

Yes, know what you mean. One of the one's who dropped out just played the 'victim' every week - she couldn't get the flowers one week for god knows what reason - tried blaming her local florist for being unhelpful! Another time brought in some ropey leatherleaf (from same florist), used a disposable camera and then the chemist 'lost' it so she didn't have any pics for her portfolio - shortly after than she gave up. Nice girl but you just knew she wouldn't see it through
