British designer florists
Hi all, Just getting back into the work again,Struggling to get going on this assignment....will tell you what it is and eagerly await your enthusiasm!!
Research and compile a report on two British floral designers from any period. Include designer's background, skills, styles, ideas and concepts. Compare the designer's styles and skills, with reference to their influence on floristry today. I have e-mailed several designers and recieved some info from Claire and Liz Cowling. Has anyone done this kind of report before or can you suggest anyoneto study? I can't get started!! Happy New Year ![]() xx |

Thanks for the advice... I do need to keep refering back to my brief as I tend to get off an a whim and as you said end up writing things that aren't required. The difficulty I'm having is finding info on designers actual skills and concepts. I'm working on Claire and Liz Cowling and Sarah Horne, as I have to compare their work and felt that these designers work in very different ways. Would you agree? Can't find much info on Sarah Horne. If anyone spots any articles or can offer any advice in the next few days, I promise it will be very gratefully received!!

We've done some interviews with Sarah and features on her shop. If you want I can e-mail you the PDF's. Send me an e-mail to caroline@thewordhouse.co.uk and I'll dig them out. Won't be till next week as I'm out and about the first three days but will do it as soon as poss.
Kind regards, Carrington |
